  • Utah families enjoyed a winter kickoff for the 2026 Adventure Challenge at the Utah Olympic Oval with free skate rentals, curling, and hockey activities as part of the Every Kid Outdoors Initiative. The program will expand with a Logan Canyon event on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the USU campus.  KVNU

  • A YouTube hit transforms front porches into stages for emerging artists and music stars in our community. The series spotlights creative performance spaces — a fresh window into local artistry — that gives new life to local music.  KVNU
  • A new WalletHub report shows that Utah ranks among the most virtuous states with a score of 30.06 while Wyoming is the least sinful and Idaho performs well — the study measured factors like greed and excessive drinking.  KVNU

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Utah announced that the state gas tax will drop 15 percent on July 1 to give families savings at the pump. The change, approved during a Feb. 23 ceremony at the Capitol, comes with plans to boost fuel supplies plus refining capacity.  Cache Valley Daily

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A new WalletHub analysis finds that Utah ranks 10th for the lowest real-estate taxes, with homeowners paying about $1,717 annually on a median-priced home and no tax on vehicles (tying with Idaho), while neighboring states such as Nevada charge higher rates.  Cache Valley Daily
