CULTURE NEWS

  • USU's Performing Arts Department is hosting a play reading series featuring Wilcox's With You on Mar. 20 and her recent work on Mar. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre (Chase Fine Arts Center); admission is free though seating is limited.  KVNU

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Local gardeners in Logan are getting ready for spring with advice from Utah State University Extension Gardeners Almanac. The tips include testing soil, planting cool-season vegetables, and caring for trees to help gardens thrive.  Cache Valley Daily
  • At Taggart Student Center on Thursday night, USU celebrated its 138th anniversary by honoring donors and supporters (with playful remarks from President Brad Mortensen) during a community gathering.  The Herald Journal

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Law enforcement will conduct a training exercise at Logan High School Monday and Tuesday evenings, so residents may see extra officers and need not be alarmed.  The Herald Journal

  • Residents across Northern Utah will soon have a chance to share their views on quality of life when the Utah Wellbeing Project launches its 2026 survey (details on participation are coming).  The Herald Journal

  • A father and his three-year-old son, Waylon, impressed viewers with his batting skills that went viral on social media + college coaches noted his talent. The video continues to spark interest among local families.  KVNU
