- ➤ A 32-year-old Pennsylvania man named Daniel Roy Kromer Jr. was declared incompetent to stand trial for trying to get two Cache Valley girls to send nude photos and was released Wednesday from Cache County Jail—he was flown from Logan to Pennsylvania to stay with his grandmother. KVNU
- ➤ A 39-year-old man from Providence was arrested on March 6 and released on a $20,000 bond after police charged him with two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a 7-year-old girl at her home and a relative’s residence — his arraignment is set for March 26. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ City officials in Logan say green waste collection will resume on March 17—there may also be changes to the pick-up times for trash and recycling. They warn residents to have their containers out by 7 a.m. on the regular day and not to bag green waste. KVNU
- ➤ On March 20 the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources opens permit applications for fall big game hunts, letting hunters apply online or by phone for deer, elk, moose and other species while proposed permit numbers are available in April and results are released on May 15—applications close at 11 p.m. MDT on April 24.
