  • USU UWLP released its final white paper on its fall study 'Home, Health, Community, and Allyship 2025' with data from 5,212 Utah participants, showing gaps in views on domestic labor, healthcare, and civic roles. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Justen Smith (director of the USU Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources Department) was named interim vice president for USU Extension. He brings 27 years of experience and secured over $11 million in grants to boost agricultural education across Utah.  Cache Valley Daily

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • State water officials say Utah’s snowpack hit a historic low on March 9 at 8.4 inches — about half the usual level — and local providers are urged to update drought plans as rapid melt may worsen conditions.  KVNU
  • Amid a record March heatwave, the Utah Avalanche Center says melting snow makes backcountry slopes dangerous for skiers and has issued a special advisory for all mountain areas until 6:00 a.m. Monday+ local visitors are urged to check conditions before venturing out.  KVNU
