  • Former restaurateur Jason Davis (49) died March 22nd at his home in Baton Rouge; he brought Cajun food to Logan with his restaurant MayMoe’s Southern Cajun Grill, which began in 2016 at a gas station and later moved to southern Logan before closing last summer. Colleagues and customers remembered him as kind and helpful, and his loss is felt deeply in the community.  Cache Valley Daily

  • Identical twin brothers Naazir and Shaakir Muhammad talked about their professional ballet careers and broke down stereotypes—explaining how they challenge traditional views in dance.  KVNU

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A nationwide journalism group awarded the Utah legislature its 'Black Hole Award' for the second time after lawmakers passed SB277 and HB69 that limit public access to records, a move that many say undermines transparency. SPJ officials said the changes—such as replacing a seven-person review panel with a single administrative law judge and raising costs for record requests—have reduced accountability and restricted access for both reporters and the public.  Cache Valley Daily
