- ➤ The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation announced plans to replace the spillway at Hyrum Dam and awarded a $115 million contract to AMES Federal Contracting Group—construction will begin later this year with a new design that raises the water discharge from 50 to 200 cubic feet per second. - ➤ Utah added new protections for children of online content creators when Gov. Spencer Cox signed a law on Tuesday that allows removal of digital content featuring minors and requires parents earning over $150,000 to set aside 15% of their earnings into a trust fund. The measure follows the child abuse conviction of YouTuber Ruby Franke and aims to protect kids from exploitation — a change supported by statements from affected family members. Cache Valley Daily
