  • The Family Place Utah will host the Steppin’ Up For Kids event on Wednesday, April 1 to raise awareness of child abuse prevention, featuring rodeo star Amberley Snyder (a paralyzed barrel racer) speaking at 4 p.m. at the Historic Cache County Courthouse.  Cache Valley Daily

  • Utah State University hosted an open house yesterday for its new Brothers Grimm Haus of North America in partnership with the Brothers Grimm Society of North America — a hub that honors the legacy of the famed storytellers.  The Herald Journal

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will capture big game animals this winter to check their health and install GPS collars for ongoing monitoring. The program is a regular effort to track wildlife movements around the region.  The Herald Journal
  • The two-day Spring Runoff Conference at Cache County Event Center recognized two inaugural Utah Water Champion awardees for their work in water conservation on Tuesday and Wednesday. Organizers noted the awards honor local efforts to improve water quality.  The Herald Journal
