Cynthia Tsosie was crowned Miss Native American Princess Saturday at Utah State Pow Wow in Logan.

The Navajo student from USU’s Blanding campus who studies animal and dairy science says the pageant helps her reconnect with her roots and will serve until next year + build new community ties.

Cynthia Tsosie, a Navajo from Logan studying animal and dairy science, was crowned Miss Native American Princess at a Utah State pow wow on Saturday (serving until next year) as she strengthens her cultural connections.

Utah State’s annual Rodeo Kids Camp gave local children a hands-on introduction to horses, riding, and basic rodeo skills Saturday at the Utah State campus in Wellsville.
