  • A small group of Jewish residents in Cache Valley (finding ways to connect stronger) is building inner strength amid local isolation.  The Herald Journal

CULTURE NEWS

  • Logan Library will host the (Local Authors in Bloom) event on Saturday, April 11 from 2 to 5 p.m. in Community Room B, featuring local writers such as V.S. Lawrence, Lorin Grace, M.J. Emerson, Melissa Lark, and Catherine V. Wolf as they offer readings, Q&A sessions, and book signings in a free event.  KVNU
  • Hyrum City Museum will host the Bringing War Home Project exhibit starting April 10. The grand opening reception is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers — featuring talks by Dr. Cannon and Dr. Grayzel and a display of items from veteran John A. Petersen.  Cache Valley Daily
  • Bringing War Home Project will be on display at Hyrum City Museum starting April 10 — the opening event includes a reception at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers with remarks by Dr. Molly Cannon and Dr. Susan Grayzel from USU.  KVNU

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Logan City School District announced leadership changes that include Jeff Barben retiring and Jared Black set to become the new Business Administrator effective July 1. The district will also appoint Breanna Parker as Mount Logan Middle School’s Assistant Principal, bringing her years of teaching and leadership experience.  KVNU

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Utah Labor Commission warned that scammers are impersonating state and federal officials through phone calls, texts, emails, and video calls to trick workers into paying fees for benefits. Residents in northern Utah (Cache Valley and nearby areas) are urged to verify all communications before sharing personal information.  KVNU
