CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Clearfield woman pleaded guilty in Logan’s 1st District Court on April 7 to stealing about $50,000 from tenants during her employment with a rental property management company in 2021 — she will be sentenced on May 19 and could face up to 15 years in prison. KVNU
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Utah State University is merging several colleges into two new ones as part of its plan to address state funding cuts and meet future needs. The consolidation will combine the Caine College of the Arts, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and College of Science while a second merger will join the S.J. & Jessie E. Quinney College of Natural Resources with the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences—layoffs and a voluntary separation incentive may follow effective July 1. KVNU
