- ➤ The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation awarded grants to five nonprofits serving vulnerable populations in Northern Utah and Southeast Idaho as part of a $469,000 investment—aimed at improving safety and wellness in the region. KVNU

Evans Bank announced this week that it will donate $275K to a dozen nonprofits across Utah focused on affordable housing, economic development and low-income services after gaining matching funds from the Federal Home Loan Bank — Logan groups like CAPSA received $6,250. - ➤ Bryant Wayne Chournos, a 19-year-old from Brigham City, admitted to brandishing a gun during a domestic dispute in Mendon and pleaded guilty on March 31 in Logan’s 1st District Court to burglary and two misdemeanors, with remaining charges dismissed—he is out on $10,000 bail and faces sentencing on May 12 that could lead to up to five years in prison.
