ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A construction worker fell from the roof at the new middle school near Heritage Elementary in Nibley Thursday afternoon and was quickly attended by emergency crews—he was flown to a trauma center after being hospitalized in critical condition. KVNU
- ➤ A multi-vehicle crash blocked traffic along Valley View Highway just after 4 p.m. near 1500 W. 200 North and sent three people to hospital—police said the eastbound driver failed to slow for a construction area and was cited for following too closely. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ Cache County Council unanimously appointed Brady George as the new chief of the Fire District at their April 22 meeting, and he will begin his role on July 1 as Chief Rodney Hammer retires. George brings more than 28 years of firefighting experience (including a role as Chief of Training in Meridian, ID) and will lead efforts for the volunteer fire departments across the county. Spencer Cox issued an emergency declaration in 17 counties on April 24 due to drought conditions—low stream flow and rising water demand prompted the order; Cache County, not included in the declaration, is facing moderate drought that urges water conservation among residents.
