A Cache County Sheriff’s deputy sustained a broken arm in a car crash at 3:50 p.m. Friday near 400 E.

400 North in Logan while responding to an emergency when a southbound car attempted to cross in front of his truck, causing him to swerve and hit a parked vehicle—he was treated by paramedics and taken to Logan Regional Hospital with injuries that are not life threatening, and no other injuries were reported as the crash remains under investigation.

Residents are encouraged today to dispose of unused medications during the 28th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at local sites such as the USU Police Department in the Taggart Student Center and Walmart in North Logan—accepted items include tablets, capsules, patches, vaping devices with batteries removed, and sealed liquids.
