Good morning, Logan. Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 28th of April.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Family, friends and community gathered Saturday, April 26 in Logan to honor Deserae 'Des' Michelle Turner-Buck, a 22-year-old who passed away on April 17 and left a legacy of laughter, love and forgiveness — her life was marked by significant health challenges and a spirit that uplifted many. Attendees shared cherished memories at the service and a GoFundMe account was set up to help cover medical bills and funeral expenses.  KVNU

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Cache County has finalized a deal to protect nearly 800 acres of open space near Wellsville by buying 471 acres from Bridal Path Partners and preserving 300 acres as private open space, leaving 105 acres for development — a move that balances land conservation with future growth.
