CULTURE NEWS

  • The daily Interfaith Summer Tabernacle Noon Concert Series begins Memorial Day, May 26, at the newly renovated Logan Tabernacle and will run through July 31—except on Memorial Day when the event will be held at Daines Performance Hall on the USU campus. Carol Foht, in charge of the series, said the program will include noon concerts, lectures, and evening performances at the Carol and Jim Laub Plaza.  Cache Valley Daily

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The 800 E 2500 N intersection in North Logan is now closed for the summer as work begins on a new roundabout — traffic is being detoured to 400 E and 1200 E.  The Herald Journal
  • Logan City Municipal Council canceled its Tuesday public hearing on special event license code changes — the move gives city staff more time to review and refine the proposals. A new date will be set to continue public discussion.  The Herald Journal
