- ➤ Utah State University’s Student Nutrition Access Center, in partnership with the Utah Food Bank and Cache Community Food Pantry, launches a mobile food pantry at the Utah State football stadium parking lot in Logan to offer one box of perishable goods per household to both students and the public. The pantry will operate monthly from 9-10 a.m. (or while supplies last) starting May 13, with sessions on June 10, July 15, August 12, and September 9 before continuing on the second Tuesday after the first Monday. - ➤ USU Extension is releasing a three-part guide for home gardeners on growing and using Japanese indigo (a plant known for its natural blue dye with centuries of history) to revive traditional home dyeing methods. The guide explains two methods, fresh-leaf dyeing (for green-aqua hues) and indigo powder vat dyeing, to help local crafters achieve vibrant textiles. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ Logan City Police detective Leticia Johnson is set to receive the 2025 Floyd Ledbetter National School Resource Officer of the Year Award from NASRO for her work in local elementary schools. She launched a Lunch with a Cop program after a nomination by Adam’s Elementary staff on April 15 and will be honored on July 7 in Grapevine—she is known for building strong student connections.
