  • Folklorists from USU helped secure a 'Legends & Lore' marker at the park to honor Mendon's maypole tradition dating back to 1863 during the May Day celebration on May 2. Mendon officials praised the project for strengthening community ties and enriching local heritage while offering practical field experience to students.  KVNU
  • USU folklore students installed a historical marker (commemorating over 150 years of maypole traditions) during Mendon's May Day Celebration on May 2 at the town park.  Cache Valley Daily
  • Five local artists are hosting open studios for the spring Cache Studio Art Tour today from noon to 7 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Logan.  Cache Valley Daily
  • Cache Valley songwriter Robyn Butterfield Buttars' piece 'These Are the Stars: A Tribute to America’s Heroes' will feature at the Salt Lake Armed Forces Day concert this weekend.
