- ➤ The Logan Downtown Alliance was named a 2025 Affiliate Main Street America program after a careful review by Utah Main Street America that checked its work to improve downtown. - ➤ On Saturday, May 24, the Logan Aquatic Center will open its 2025 season if weather permits, with holiday hours of 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday. The facility at 451 South, 500 West will begin its full seven-day schedule on May 31 — offering a range of summer programs. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ Monday afternoon, just after 2:30 p.m., Logan City Fire Department crews—Truck 120, Engine 72, Rescue 120 and HazMat 72—responded to a chlorine leak at the mouth of Green Canyon at the North Logan water treatment facility and quickly controlled the leak without further incident. KVNU

- ➤ A 21-year-old Rexburg man named Sam Ivan Robins was found competent to stand trial after he fled a North Logan hit-and-run crash on March 18—police used a stun gun to arrest him and he now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges while victims suffered serious injuries, with his next court date set for June 2. - ➤ USU’s Mountain West Center for Regional Studies will host the 26th annual Bennion Teachers’ Workshop from June 2 to 6 on the Logan campus — focusing on American democracy and presidential election processes for in-service and pre-service teachers. Damon Cann and Robert Ross direct the workshop and former Congressman Rob Bishop will deliver his keynote address at 6 p.m. on June 4 in the Carolyn Tanner Irish Pavilion. KVNU
- ➤ Logan High School Envirothon team won first place at the state contest in April and will represent Utah at the International Envirothon hosted by the National Conservation Foundation soon — more event details are expected. The Herald Journal
- ➤ Northern Utah high school students from Logan, Box Elder, Rich, and Cache counties will join the Cache Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) program this fall, a mentor-guided initiative supported by $65 million from Utah’s HB447. The program is led by Cache County School District Career and Technical Education Director John Anderson and will start with up to 150 students at Bridgerland Technical College’s west campus, with plans to expand to 450 students by 2027. - ➤ Northern Utah high school students from Logan and nearby districts will soon join the new Cache CAPS program— a hands-on, mentor-guided initiative for career readiness that begins this fall.
