  • City officials announced that summer officially begins today as Logan Aquatic Center (451 South, 500 West) and the Splash Pad (55 North Main Street) open for their summer season. The Aquatic Center will have holiday hours this weekend and regular hours starting May 30.  Cache Valley Daily

  • Bear Lake Adventure Park, formerly Bridgerland Adventure Park, will open on Memorial Day weekend on its 10.2-acre site along Highway 89 near Garden City — featuring a full-service restaurant, recovery lounge, and expanded parking for year-round visitors.  Cache Valley Daily

  • Gov. Spencer Cox declared a drought emergency on Thursday after a dry winter and record warmth left every county in severe or extreme drought. The state is now dipping into its reservoir (savings) to help manage water supplies.  The Herald Journal
