- ➤ About 2,600 women and girls will participate in the Little Red Riding Hood charity bike ride on June 7 to raise money for breast and gynecologic cancer research at Huntsman Cancer — the event will support ongoing efforts to fund important treatments. The Herald Journal
- ➤ The Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce is asking local women to donate new or gently used jewelry for the Women in Business Jewelry Sale, which will fund scholarships for local women and will be held on Oct. 29 during the Business Women’s Conference at Riverwoods Conference Center in Logan. - ➤ The Rich County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding 15-year-old Kylie Arellano, last seen on May 29 at 10:52 p.m. in Garden City near Bear Lake, and she is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 115 lbs with chin-length brown hair, brown eyes, black braces, and home tattoos (her mother said she vanished without a trace after following up on sightings from Logan to Laketown) and anyone with information is urged to call 435-793-2285. - ➤ A 41-year-old man, James Harlin Henderson, was sentenced June 2 to three concurrent prison terms of 0 to 5 years plus an extra year after he abused and choked a pregnant woman in Benson two months ago—deputies arrested him on April 7 when they responded to a domestic dispute at a trailer near 2600 W. - ➤ LOGAN — WalletHub released its 2025 rankings that placed Utah second and Idaho seventh nationwide, noting Utah led in GDP growth, startup activity and had a 3.2% unemployment rate.
