- ➤ A 20-year-old former USU student mixed chemicals in his dorm room, which caused two evacuations at Mountain View Tower and led to a June 9 sentencing in Logan’s 1st District Court; he apologized and received a two-day jail term with credit for time served—along with a two-year probation that bans him from dangerous chemicals and USU until officials decide on his readmission. - ➤ The USU Presidential search committee has scheduled public listening sessions on June 12 and June 13 plus both in-person and virtual options to gather input for a leadership profile for the next president. - ➤ Sen. John Curtis proposed a bipartisan bill to use targeted grazing—aimed at lowering hazardous fuels—to reduce wildfire risks on public lands. The legislation, co-sponsored by Sen.
