- ➤ On June 11, Logan police arrested two women related to the victim for breaking into a home and attacking a resident—her boyfriend intervened—and both are held on felony charges with Friedli also facing a charge of obstructing justice. KVNU
- ➤ Christopher Lyndon Thurston — a 35-year-old man with a lengthy criminal history — was arrested after allegedly breaking into Hillcrest Elementary School in Logan and barricading himself in an office at 8:35 a.m. on Thursday; officers engaged him after he tried to access the school roof and he was booked into Cache County Jail. - ➤ Utah State University supported Utah’s economy in 2023 by generating $1.0 billion in earnings, adding $1.4 billion in gross domestic product, and backing more than 17,000 jobs while employing over 10,400 people. The university secured $450 million in research funding that supported 6,665 jobs and awarded 6,764 degrees during the 2022-23 academic year—more than half of its graduates work in-state five years later.
