- ➤ Logan police arrested two Ukrainian nationals accused of scamming over $300,000 from a 78-year-old man during a sting operation — Liubomyr Prokopchuck, 27, and Damir Ovchinnikov, 18, were booked into Cache County Jail on charges of money laundering, communications fraud and criminal conspiracy. - ➤ Utah State University partnered with Castle Gate Engineering to add nearly 500 kilowatts of solar panels on the Stan Laub Indoor Practice Facility roof, more than 150 kilowatts on the Gateway Parking Structure, and over 200 kilowatts at the Sam Skaggs Family Equine Center and Caine Dairy in Wellsville. The new solar capacity totals 1,058 kilowatts and will produce over 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity each year — enough to power about 150 homes. KVNU
