- ➤ A 56 year old man from Providence was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman he met on Facebook when officers went to a home on Grandview Drive on June 14 & doctors restored her pulse before taking her to Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital, and he was arraigned on July 23 and will appear on July 28 facing charges that could lead to 15 years in prison. - ➤ Cache County Sheriff's Office is asking locals for help in identifying two suspects seen on camera removing wiring from a Benson farm's sprinkler system on July 22. The Herald Journal
- ➤ A 56-year-old Providence man, Jerry Alan Young, was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly strangling a woman he met on Facebook at a Grandview Drive residence on June 14; paramedics revived the victim and she is now in intensive care (he faces aggravated assault producing a loss of consciousness and will appear in court on July 28). - ➤ A stone marker in Logan City Cemetery honors unidentified pioneers moved from the original burial ground, as the Brigham Young Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers installed it in 1981 to create a special Pioneer Plot. On Pioneer Day 2025, flags were mounted behind the marker to recognize early settlers who helped build our community. Cache Valley Daily
