Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 27th of July.
Good morning, Logan.
🌲 Environment
Utah State University Extension published aGardener’s Almanac to help Logan gardeners care for their yards in July, offering tips on harvesting tomatoes, fertilizing potatoes, and watering established trees properly (the Almanac also provides instructions on deadheading and dividing crowded plants) on its website.
🏥 Health
Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital expanded its Gossner Cancer Center Radiation Oncology facility last week by adding advanced cancer treatment equipment including an HDR brachytherapy suite, CT simulator and more to help patients receive care close to home & reduce travel burdens.
Gardening is a full-body workout and Logan residents are advised to use safe techniques by squatting, pivoting (to avoid twisting) and transferring weight properly while staying hydrated and stretching.
The guidance helps gardeners adjust tool use for different soils to protect against injuries.
