- ➤ New Stage 2 fire restrictions went into effect on July 31 at 12:01 a.m. as forecasted weather and record dry vegetation raised fire danger, Cache County Fire Chief Brady George said — the order banned fires on state and unincorporated private lands with violations possibly resulting in up to 6 months in jail and fines up to $1,000, and further restrictions may be added if conditions worsen.
