- ➤ Rocky Mountain Veterans Center will hold its Heroes Tribute weekend from August 22 to 24 at Riverwoods Conference Center and Elk Ridge Park — with a banquet on Friday featuring guest speaker Dr. Craig Jessop, a Ride for the Fallen motorcycle event on Saturday morning, and a patriotic devotional on Sunday to honor Utah’s fallen military and support local veterans. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City officials in Logan will hold a Contractor Open House for the 600 South Underpass Project on Tuesday, August 12 (from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Logan City Hall) to let business and property owners ask questions about construction plans and traffic control measures. The project will begin as early as Sept. 1 and continue into June until a seasonal break from December to March (motorists should expect delays of 5 to 15 minutes and use alternate routes) as UDOT manages work during peak hours.
