- ➤ Somebody’s Attic Thrift Boutique celebrated 40 years of supporting abuse prevention and intervention and made its quarterly donations on Monday during its August celebration—continuing its long-term commitment to the cause. The Herald Journal
- ➤ Box Elder residents raised over $230,000 at the county fair’s auction on Aug. 23 to support the families of Sgt. Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada, who were killed on Aug. 17. Tremonton Mayor Lyle Holmgren said total donations now exceed $300,000 — with public viewings and funerals scheduled in the coming days. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ City officials will hold a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2 in the Municipal Council Chambers to update residents on proposed Canyon Road improvements from 600 East to Herm’s Inn for the First Dam Water Tank & Pipeline Project.
