- ➤ NOAA's Seasonal Temperature Outlook says that much of the country will see warmer-than-average fall weather as the shift to La Nina may bring drier conditions in the south and wetter conditions in the north; Logan residents may experience a milder autumn that could extend allergy and growing seasons while raising cooling costs. The forecast does not predict day-to-day changes but shows overall seasonal trends. KVNU
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Logan City Council will update residents on the planned Canyon Road pipeline project and seek input at a City Council meeting scheduled Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 5:30 p.m. — the meeting will be held at the Municipal Council Chambers at 290 N 100. The Herald Journal
- ➤ Logan city officials announced that on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1, garbage, recycling and green waste will not be collected—the city landfill and key facilities such as the Logan Library, City Offices, Community Recreation Center, Cemetery Offices and Carol and Jim Laub Plaza will be closed. Trash routes will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 2 while the Logan River Golf Course and Aquatic Center will operate if weather holds. KVNU
