- ➤ Bryce Holt from Richmond has introduced the Richmond Encyclopedia—an ongoing online record of personal histories about early pioneer and Shoshone interactions in Cache Valley. He began the work as an intern at the Family History Center in 2021 and updates it monthly to honor the town’s heritage. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ Logan law enforcement warned that heavy traffic was expected yesterday for Officer Eric Estrada’s memorial and now cautions drivers that Sgt. Lee Sorensen’s funeral today will block key intersections with a procession from the Spectrum to Tremonton. Officials advise parking in church lots along 1200 North and leaving early—up to 1,000 vehicles may cause major delays. Cache Valley Daily
- ➤ Logan law enforcement warned that many will face traffic delays and parking issues as thousands attend public memorials for Officer Eric Estrada and Sgt. Lee Sorensen at 10 a.m. at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on the Utah State University campus. After Officer Estrada’s private burial on Thursday, Sgt. Sorensen’s funeral procession today is expected to involve 500 to 1000 vehicles blocking key intersections—officials advise using church parking lots and bus shuttles to ease congestion. KVNU
- ➤ Hyrum Mayor Stephanie Miller filed on Aug. 27 to run in a GOP special election for County Executive, joining four other candidates to replace David Zook, who is set to retire effective Sept. 8 & the election will take place at Ridgeline High School on Sept. 11 with the winner serving through December. This race follows Zook's announced retirement and the closing of candidate filings at 5 p.m. on Sept. 4. KVNU
