Good morning, Logan. Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 31st of August.
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ In August many trees show brown, crispy edges on their leaves due to low humidity and strong summer sun—experts say the leaf scorch is usually a seasonal change that is not a long-term threat. They advise deep watering for established trees and careful watering for new ones while addressing soil nutrient issues early in spring. KVNU

Officials urge drivers and riders to follow safety rules during the coming Labor Day weekend—if everyone takes care, further declines in fatalities can be achieved. KVNU
