- ➤ Logan Library directors reviewed the building’s first 18 months of service—opened March 4—and discussed the successes and challenges the library faced during this period. The Herald Journal
- ➤ American West Heritage Center in Wellsville will host the second annual Rocky Mountain Regional Homesteaders Conference & Fair on September 12–13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—the event offers hands-on workshops in backyard chickening, beekeeping, gardening, yogurt making, and water purification with tickets at $20 for adults, $18 for military, and $15 for children. - ➤ Ren and Remy’s, a family-owned restaurant and entertainment center, will open in early 2026 at Cache Valley Marketplace in the old Cache Valley Mall. Adam Schiff sent a letter on Aug. 29 urging Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins to speed up the U.S. Forest Service’s Red Card process so wildland firefighters can be deployed faster during the wildfire season—delays in processing have hindered response efforts in Utah and other Western states.
