- ➤ Residents in Cache Valley are preparing to serve on the 9/11 National Day of Service to honor those affected by the attacks, and United Way is partnering with Common Ground to lead a cleanup project on Sept. 11 from 9 a.m.—1 p.m. KVNU
- ➤ Logan’s oldest troop, Troop 1, celebrated 115 years by spending 81 days on backpacking trips that covered 1,152 miles in Logan Canyon and Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest—scouts earned merit badges and made key trip decisions while parents ensured safety and transport. The troop packed all the necessary gear for each trail to explore nature. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ Utah State University and Weber State University in Logan are partnering with the American Red Cross for the 22nd annual Blood Battle to reach a goal of 400 units that can save up to 1200 lives. On the first day they collected 107 units, and anyone over 18 with a driver's license can donate blood. KVNU
