- ➤ Family Place Utah will host its annual Marvelous Adventure fundraising event on Oct. 4 from 12-2 p.m. at the Cache County Event Center (490 S 500 W) in Logan where families can enjoy crafts, activities, food and meet heroes including Captain America, Batman, Supergirl, Hulk and Spiderman. Tickets cost $20 for one child with a complimentary adult admission and children under two are free, with all funds supporting the center's family programs. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ Logan will host the beloved Halloween dance review Thriller by Odyssey Dance Theatre at the Ellen Eccles Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 24—these shows kick off a statewide tour that will visit Layton, Park City, Salt Lake City and St. George from Sept. 26 to Nov. 1. KVNU

- ➤ This September, the USU HEART Initiative joins organizations nationwide in its effort to reduce deaths caused by substance use disorder, overdose, and suicide by raising awareness and highlighting resources—it will provide support throughout Recovery and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
