St. John’s Episcopal Church in Logan will host a Blessing of the Animals event on Saturday, Oct.

4 at 1:00 p.m.—community members and their pets can receive a blessing while donating Science Diet food for Cache Humane Society.

The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation awarded $1.78 million in grants to 30 off-highway vehicle projects that will improve trail maintenance, search and rescue, education and winter grooming.

Northern Utah projects include winter grooming in Logan Canyon, a snowmobiling marketing campaign in Cache Valley and new e-bikes for Cache County Search and Rescue—which will help boost safe riding, and the next grant cycle will open on Jan. 15.

Due to a lapse in appropriations, the Logan Ranger District Office is closed until further notice—leaving Cache County residents without access to its usual services.

On Sept. 30, thousands gathered at Utah State University in Logan for a Turning Point USA event where conservative commentator Alex Clark passed on Charlie Kirk’s legacy—urging the audience to move forward in a time of deep division.

University officials had shifted the event venue after some liberal faculty questioned holding the free speech event following Kirk’s death.
