- ➤ Birch Creek Golf Course donated $20,000 to the Cache Community Food Pantry on Wednesday to help local residents facing food insecurity in Northern Utah. The funds were raised at a Birdies for Backpack tournament by Head Golf Pro Eric Kleven’s AMK Foundation and will support many in need—especially as food supplies drop before the holidays. KVNU
- ➤ Logan Holiday Gift Show returns for 16 years at the Riverwoods Conference Center this weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Santa Claus—along with food trucks—is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the entry fee is $2 while children 12 and under can enter free. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ Utah has been named the most affordable state for college education based on a WalletHub report that compared tuition, room and board, books and other on-campus expenses with median household income. The report showed that a four-year college costs $25,401 per year or 27.7% of the state’s income—making it the least expensive option in the nation. Cache Valley Daily

- ➤ After the federal government reopened, Utah announced it restored full November SNAP benefits as deposits for customers who normally receive funds on the 5th or 11th were completed on Thursday. Payments for those scheduled on the 15th will arrive tomorrow — officials expect all deposits to finish by Nov. 15 and help about 86,000 households. Cache Valley Daily
