  • Cache Valley Media Group compiled a guide of local charity spots to help residents donate food, clothes, or funds this holiday season in Cache, Box Elder and Franklin counties — the list names groups such as Cache Community Food Pantry and United Way of Cache Valley as options for giving back.  KVNU
  • The Logan Downtown Alliance announced 12 gingerbread home displays for its 26th annual Parade of Gingerbread Homes Contest that will run Dec. 6—31 in downtown Logan.  The Herald Journal

CULTURE NEWS

  • LionHeart Hall in Logan is looking for performers and production techs for its 2026 Curtains & Cuisine Dinner Theatre season and will pay for acting and crew roles. Video auditions are open until Dec. 5 and rehearsals will start Dec. 8—local talent who are bold and ready to work hard are encouraged to apply.  KVNU

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Utah Department of Wildlife Resources will offer horse-drawn sleigh and wagon rides through wild elk at Hardware Wildlife Management Area starting December 5, with rides available on weekends, extra days in December, and through February 15 at fees of $12.50 for ages 9 and up, $5 for ages 4 to 8, and free for children 3 or younger. Rides run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and last about 45 minutes while visitors can also explore a free elk education center featuring an 'All About Elk' exhibit and ornament making—DWR monitors the elk for brucellosis to end the season early in February—ensuring safe wildlife encounters.  Cache Valley Daily
