Wrap Beautifully: Furoshiki Gift Wrapping workshop

About this event

Up your holiday gift-giving game using the traditional Japanese art of furoshiki cloth wrapping. Learn how to transform a simple piece of cloth into a stylish and sustainable alternative to disposable wrapping paper and plastic bags. Japanese Cultural Ambassador Shino Manabe will demonstrate several wrapping techniques, and participants will have the opportunity to practice wrapping different shapes and tying secure knots. Discover how one piece of cloth can be used in many different ways—from wrapping gifts to carrying everyday items. Participants will leave with practical techniques they can continue using at home and their own cloth for gift wrapping.
