  • Cache Car Wash raised $9,740 to help families of fallen officers Sgt. Lee Sorenson and Officer Eric Estrada by donating all car wash proceeds from its four Cache Valley locations on Aug. 23. The owners thanked customers and employees as they honored the officers' sacrifice—demonstrating strong community support.  Cache Valley Daily
  • Logan saw a solemn farewell Friday as funeral services were held at USU’s Dee Glen Smith Spectrum for Sgt. Lee Sorensen— a 56-year-old Garland native killed in the line of duty on Aug. 17 while he was responding to a domestic violence call in Tremonton. Officers later led a respectful procession through Logan to East Garland Cemetery to honor his 16 years of service.  Cache Valley Daily

  • Artistic Director Richie Call said the Lyric Repertory Company had a record summer as ticket sales for the musical Bright Star reached nearly $60,000, outpacing previous seasons.
